"I got into illustrating solely to improve on a skill I really admired in others. I found it helpful to focus on something creative during peak lockdown, and it was a way of expressing my artistic intrigue with black people. I've always wanted to delve into that side of myself, traditionally I have worked in pretty corporate environments, so to take this up on a freelance basis has been... Refreshing!

I have been illustrating for a few months now and feel like I add to my skills every time I commit to an original idea, or when asked to create a piece for someone. It's been a saviour to my mental health and a form of escapism. I won't be stopping any time soon!"
